Formula 1 Race
A popular event is the Australian Grand Prix. This race is run every year It first ran in 1928, except WW II.
The open-wheel Formula 1 format is followed by fans around the world.
This year the event is at Albert Park, from the 21st to the 24th of March. The track is a 5.3 kilometre, 14-turn street track used by Formula 1 since 1996
Teams from Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Alpine, McLaren, Sauber, Aston Martin, Haas, Alpha Tauri and Williams will be participating. You will see top drivers like Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris
Bathurst 1000
This event is a 1000-kilometre race, held annually on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales.
You may have missed it for this year, but if you love cars, it should be on your bucket list. It was first held in 1960, as the Armstrong 500. The track uses temporarily closed roads and has a 174-metre elevation difference between its highest and lowest points.

Adelaide 500
The Adelaide Street Circuit is world-known for great racing and an exciting race atmosphere. It is the largest automobile race in Australia, by ticket sales and attendance.
The race covers a 3.219-kilometre track around the closed-off streets of Adelaide.
The event is well known for its after-the-race activities and concerts. Last year Robbie Williams, ICEHOUSE, and The Screaming Jets played to enthusiastic crowds of race fans.

Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500
This year the race is October 25 – 27 at Surfers Paradise. The track is a 2.96-kilometre beach-side track that has several fast sections and two chicanes (tight turns in opposite directions) to keep things exciting.
Twenty Four Drivers from 11 teams are participating. These include the past winner, Dave Reynolds, from Team 18.
Alpine Rally
For off-roaders, the Alpine Rally is Australia’s oldest and longest-running motorsports event. It had its first running in 1921, as a long-distance event to test the endurance of cars. It helped to open the North East of Victoria to tourism.
Over time, the race has transformed from an endurance race to a navigational trial, and eventually into a full-on speed race. It is now part of the Australian Rally Championship.
The race kicks off from Lakes Entrance, East Gippsland, Victoria. Since racing generates worldwide interest the Australian government is interested in promoting automotive sporting events to a worldwide audience.
